Melatonin was initially launched onto the American market as a natural aid for sleep. It was soon discovered that while this was a great aid to many who needed extra help getting to sleep, without the effects of other sleep aids. Those suffering from jet lag and other sleep issues found relief in taking melatonin.

When you were a child have trouble sleeping meant you dozed off in the midst of the afternoon and missed a math question. Anyone who suffers from migraines knows how debilitating this problem can be, and also has the frustration of finding help in avoiding them. As this boosts the immune system many have found melatonin helps in preventing future migraine attacks.

Melatonin Do’s and Don’ts
Melatonin is best for short term use of three months or less. It can have side effects such as daytime sleepiness, and confusion if taken for an extend period of time.
